Guest Speaker day – Marta Kochanek.
A very interesting and driven Photographer who has had a varied career including working for six months for Annie Leibovitz and also being offered a permanent position with her! I’m not sure many can put on their c.v. ?
Kochanek studied at Coventry University and is a visiting lecturer in Photography with Birmingham City University. They have prints in numerous publications and gained many prestigious awards through their work in production photography, portraiture, advertising campaigns, animation, product/food & drink and fine art. Kochanek talked about production photography being their dream job but that they are currently delving into miniature photography to see where that leads..
There is no doubt that Kochanek loves what they do and has plenty of insight into the career of a photographer. I’m sure many of the students who attended will be inspired by her passion, energy and commitment.
